You work hard all month to keep what you have and to get what your family wants and needs but what about the relationship. Ever catch yourself glancing at your partner asking what happened to us or smiling at your partner with memories of the times when your life together was carefree and exciting without the children, bills and major responsibilities? Well don’t just think about it or let things sour out. If you love him/her act on it NOW!
Until you and your better half gets use to date night, sit them down and have a talk. Create a budget and a plan to make this night very special so that the two of you will always look forward to making this an ongoing occasion, hence keeping the excitement and flame in your marriage. Do your best to avoid your date night from becoming routine. If you do, eventually it will become a bore and you will end up right back where you started and it will seem to be a waste of time, money and effort versus an investment. Mix it up and do exciting things, let loose and be fabulous. Again, by all means have a budget and plan! Check list: *Have a budget for date night. *Have a place in mind for date night. Don’t just ride around wasting time, this will kill the mood. *Get a sitter and a backup plan just incase your sitter bails out at the last minute. There is nothing worse than getting all dapper and dolled up just to stay home. *Ladies: Get your hair, nails and makeup done. *Men: Get a fresh hair cut and groom well. *Men: Wear tailored garments and a slick pair of lace up or slip on leather dress shoes. *Ladies: Buy a date dress, shape wear (to avoid hanging out in the wrong places), statement accessory and a pair of sexy stiletto’s. *Buy a tasteful glass of wine and cubed ice to chill when you return home for part two of date night. This is no regular evening. This is date night, an investment in your marriage. I recommend that you hire a style team for this special occasion.
