Everyone has their own unique con. Seattle has PAX and Sakuracon but now Tampa Bay is getting OddCon in 2010!

   According to their website, OddCon will feature L.A.R.Ping (Live Action Role Playing), Table top gaming, LAN playing (bring your own machine) and a general oddity of geek pleasures.

     What can you expect at OddCon? Something for all kinds of geeks, naturally. Also some things that would make a real geek turn bright red in the face. Things like whips, chains, fluffy cuffs and other things that have me giggling like a school girl. (They ask that you do not lick or mount the displays).

     But don't fret my shy brethren. There will also be more than enough comic books and anime to calm your frazzled nerves. They will also have a ROFL room to get you on the floor in giggles. And yes, cosplay will be happening all around you! If you like to strut your stuff than dress to impress (just not your mom).

     OddCon is coming on October 08 2010 at the DoubleTree WestShore, Tampa. Lifetime membership is 75 dollars, a weekend pass for Fri, Sat and Sun is 35 and a single trip is 25. I personally am going to go for the 35 dollar deal, perhaps a lifetime membership if I am impressed.

      However, if you cannot spare the dimes to register, you can volunteer for a minimum of 10 hours and get your registration refunded after the con. They also have a deal going on with the DoubleTree WestShore.
