Is this the face of a ghostly gunslinger? I think he kind of looks like Tim McGraw.
Everyone has heard of the legendary ghosts of Tombstone, Arizona. Dan sent this odd photo from Tombstone to Angels and Ghosts for their evaluation. He took a photo (third picture) of the hearse in the extremely haunted Birdcage Saloon and found a face in his photo. This hearse was used for carrying all the bodies from the OK Coral shootout to Boot Hill for burial.
This is Dan's story: "I was in Tombstone and took this pic of the hearse which is in the Birdcage Saloon. Only my wife and myself were present in that room when I snapped the pic of the hearse, called the Black Mariah. I sent the photo to a lady by the name of Beth who works out of the organization called HAPIA which is located in Canada. They are paranormal investigators and have "dissected" thousands of "ghost pics." They spent hours trying to analyze the photo and came to the conclusions below. They told me this is the first photo they have seen where the "subject" is in color. Personally, I believe this is the best picture of a ghost I have ever seen. Somehow, I think this "guy" wanted to be photographed. Note how the bottom lower right of the face is BEHIND the pipe which is BEHIND the hearse. But the rest of the face is an apparent normal reflection on the outer part of the hearse. Check also his right eye, how it is enlarged, you can even see his pupil if you zoom in on it. I'm hoping we might be able to identify this "person" from an old photo. You are welcome to put the picture through any type of scrutiny you wish, as I know it was not faked and it is not of anyone (living) who was standing nearby in the room."
HAPIA carefully evaluated the photo iself and the negative.
HAPIA's summary is as follows: "I noticed the eye. But the strange thing about the negative is that part of it shows flesh too. And even though there is a "collar" of the shirt, there is no shirt - you can see the paneling. I stayed up until 3:00 am playing with the photo - and I can at least confirm that you didn't send in a hoax, but trying to confirm exactly what you caught is stumping me. If it was a reflection of someone, you would see the shirt as well. When pictures are sent to me that are hoaxes, usually our program will pick it up from enhancing and then making the photo a negative, which wasn't the case with yours. There are no definite outlines, and it's too perfect. If you look at the negative image I sent back to you - the rim of the shirt is where it should be - but no shirt - so anyone who would say its a reflection is not looking at it correctly. The distorted eye is interesting, but what interests me is the way the face is in the picture. It looks like most of it is right on or behind the foremost glass, but then another part is behind the pipe. Thats what is making it a bit confusing. I cannot believe the detailing in the lips, the nose, and the one visible eye. I have never seen a picture that is flesh toned as well."

This is the hearse used to transport the bodies to Boot Hill for burial. The face is clearly visible.

Maybe HAPIA was just being cordial to the photographer because I sense that he either had a friend along with him who was standing nearby, close enough to end up in the photo as a reflection or he didn't know or realize that someone else had come into the room whose reflection he caught. Had he not turned around after taking the photo and instead continued to view the hearse he would not have ever known that anyone else was there. A colorful ghost with features and especially clothes doesn't set well with me either.
I thought that maybe it was a reflection of someone there, but the image goes beyond the top of the glass over the brass strip and onto the wood.
I don't see a reflection doing that. I live in Tombstone and have seen the hearse many times. It is not that polished. Thanks www.tombstoneweb.com

If someone where standing behind the photographer, then there is no way part of the reflection would appear to be behind the pole that is BEHIND the hearse. This is one of the most fascinating photos I've seen. Not just because of the color, but also because of the detail, not to mention that the total lack of expression on the face is chilling.
He's wearing a black t-shirt as so many folks do these days. He's not freakin' ghost, it's probably the photographer's boyfriend.

These comments are funny, I had Dr. Bruce Macabee (top 10 worlds foremost photo-analyst) examine this photo, it differs slightly from the self appointed "experts" on the comments board here. Sorry people, what was captured was truly anamalous and it wasnt a reflection, or someones boyfriend !! These things do happen now and then you know. I understand that what I got was very unusual and no matter how much I tried I could probably spend a lifetime and never ever get another like this.
