***Writer's note: I've gotten so many comments on this article that I feel inclined to comment where everyone can read it. First, thank you for your comments. Second, I have also heard rumors that Kaultiz ultimately didn't settle with Perrine. However, I've not seen any evidence of this is the German press to update the information. To write solely on speculation or on the word of fans--however well-meaning--would be bad journalism. I am watching the news everyday to see if there are any developments in writing, which will allow me to update this story fully and with documentation. Over the space of many months, the German band Tokio Hotel has had its share of trouble with a girl gang who calls themselves “The Afghans on Tour”. They have been following the Kaulitz twins, Tom and Bill, around relentlessly for months, sending threatening notes, throwing eggs at their cars and finally, in April this year things came to a head between Tokio Hotel guitarist, Tom Kaulitz and Perrine D., one of the girls in the group. According to an insider to the Bild
They [the girls] deliberately wanted to provoke the boys, they meticulously prepared their attacks and were pelting their cars.
The Rest of the Story
The provocation worked. On the April night in question, the girl gang followed Kaulitz from his recording studio in Lueneburg to a gas station in Hamburg, where a scuffle of sorts between Kaulitz and Perrine took place. Here’s the backstory:
The woman [Perrine] took a photograph of Kaulitz through the window while at the gas station.
According to the Bild report, he rolled down his window and threw his cigarette at her, which she then put out on the window of his car.
That’s when Kaulitz reportedly got out and hit her and shoved her to the ground. The Local reported that he also shoved another woman against the back of his car, before getting back in and driving away. The Bild writes that Perrine sustained injury to her eye and ear as a result of the incident. (Read the full story)
Now it looks as if it’s time to settle the matter. The Bild reported on the 9th that the Hamburg’s prosecutor’s office has filed charges of assault against Kaulitz.

A surveillance video from the gas station in Hamburg where the incident took place has been released. Perrine’s lawyer has said that Kaulitz not only roughed up Perrine, but hit her. However, what actually happened is a bit unclear because of the quality of the tape.
Out of Court Settlement
This saga between Kaulitz and Perrine resulted in her getting a lawyer and attempts to settle the matter. This week, it looks like there has finally been movement toward resolution. According to information on the Tokio Hotel Network website, there was a financial settlement for damages made between Perrine’s lawyer and Kaulitz’s lawyer for 2000€.
However, Kaulitz may still have to make an appearance in court. While the story in the Bild claims that charges have been filed against Kaulitz, according to an article in the Salzburger Nachrichten, David Jost, the band’s manager told the German Press Agency on Thursday that
There had been no charges brought against Tom Kaulitz from the prosecutor’s office until today. If there really will be a trial, that is still unclear.
Additionally, there have been some recent suggestions in the German media that Perrine herself could face charges of harassment. However, whether or not that will come to pass has not yet been said.

No picture was taken through the window. That was incorrect.
And Tom tried to settle with her months ago, but she had to also agree to stop stalking and it was because she wouldn't put that in writting that the case has been ongoing.
Tom said he would pay for medical - but regardless what she says in the press the only medical report says she just sustained swelling, no bruising, around the eye. If it went to court he most likely just have to pay a fine anyway. So if he pays it now the court will undoubtly drop charges, especially since the Afghans on Tour did so much damage and with witnesses.

there is a lot of conflicting information in the German media about what actually happened. As I continue to follow this story, I'm sure more info will be added, which hopefully will make a complete picture. I will follow up on any information that helps tell the truth of this story. Because that's not a fan but a stalker. Hopefully it will be settled really soon. I think there's a lot of conflicting info between Perrine lying and Tom wanting to keep it all quiet, no one knows for sure what's going on. One things for certain - she's still trying to destroy him just because he wouldn't sleep with her and she still won't move back to France.

The didn't settle. She's still on skyrock saying she only wants a judge to call Tom guilty. Her feelings are hurt he won't love her so even though a judge will prob just fine for the same amount Perrine is being offered - she won't accept it.
Perrine is a very confused, delusional woman who can't move on from Tom.

and I heard there was no settlement. Perrine has refused every settlement to date since there is included a stipulation of staying away from Tokio Hotel and she won't get a book deal if she doesn't come out of this looking like a winner. She hasn't settled and never will because she can't let go of Tom
You might be right about the "fan" part. As for the no settlement part, I have also heard rumors that there wasn't one. However, to report on it before there is information that I can substantiate would be irresponsible reporting. I am keeping an eye out for developments, and there will be updates as they come.
