
Tokio Hotel's Bill Kaulitz, June 27 2008
Sunday was a day for fashion, animated films and fans of Tokio Hotel’s Bill Kaulitz. Kaulitz helped premiere his new film, “Arthur und die Minimoys 2 - Die Rache des Bösen M” (Arthur and the Vengeance of Maltazard) in Berlin amid the screams of adoring Tokio Hotel fans.

According to the Berliner Zeitung, amid the shouts of Tokio Hotel fans, Tokio Hotel front man, Bill Kaulitz arrived at Berlin’s Cinestar at Potsdamer Platz to premiere his film “Arthur und die Minimoys 2 - Die Rache des Bösen M” (Arthur and the Vengeance of Maltazard) in Berlin on Sunday.
Box Office Bomb in the U.S., Box Office Wonder in Europe
Kaulitz provided the voice for the title character, Arthur, a 12-year old youth, who was given a rice kernel by a spider. On the rice kernel was the word, “Help”, which meant only one thing to Arthur. His friends, the Minimoys must be in trouble.
While the original film, “Arthur and the Invisibles” did poorly in the U.S., according to WildAboutMovies.com, it exploded overseas. It cost $85 million dollars to make, but only grossed $15 million in the States. However, worldwide it grossed a 100 million at the box office and about that much in DVD sales. Kaulitz himself voiced Arthur in the first film and now the second.

At the premiere was the first time that Kaulitz would see the film in its entirety. He expressed being “totally excited” about seeing it.
The film, which was directed by French filmmaker Luc Besson, opens for wide release in theatres in Germany officially on November 26th.
