“Life in Germany” will be a regular feature of the Germany Headlines column. It’ll highlight some of the news, people and events that made headlines related to Germany for the past week. Tokio Hotel News: Tokio Hotel wins at the Rockbjörnen Awards 2010
According to Tokio Hotel Info, the German band, Tokio Hotel has another award to place on their shelf—the Rockbjörnen Awards 2010. The Fantastic Four from Magdeburg--Georg, Gustav, Tom and Bill--has been bestowed with two of the Swedish music awards, the “Concert of the Year” and “Foreign Song of the Year”. Tokio Hotel News: MTV Games and Harmonix confirm launch of country-based Rock Band 3 sites
Recently, it was announced that German bands, Tokio Hotel and Rammstein were on the musical line up for the Rock Band 3 game. Each band will contribute a song; Tokio Hotel's "Humanoid" will provide some of the musical tone for the game as will Rammstein's "Du bist". Fans of the game and of Tokio Hotel and Rammstein will have a new dimension to the rock and roll experience (in addition to hearing the lyrics to their favorite bands's music in a game context); today, Console Digest is reporting that there will be localized websites for the Rock Band 3 game. Angela Merkel Pictures and News: German Chancellor and Ukrainian president meet in Berlin (Slideshow)
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych visited Berlin on Monday to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. According to Deutsche Welle, Yanukovych hoped to find investors who would help the Ukraine out of the economic slump the country has been in. The Local is reporting that Italian-American actress, Isabella Rossellini will head up the jury for the 61st Annual Berlinale Film Festival.
