According to Der Spiegel Online, the German government agency Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons indexed or censored Rammstein’s new album "Liebe ist für alle da" ("Love is There for Everyone"). The album can now only be sold in Germany to adults with identification.
The band has long dealt with controversial issues in their music. Topics ranging from cannibalism, necrophilia, sadism and even the incorporation of images reminiscent of National Socialism have been far game for the band. The band’s latest album as well as some of the corresponding videos portray images of pornography and sadomasochism.
The ban has been in effect since Wednesday, November 18th.
