The ultra-cool geek site StarWars.com is reporting that in honor of Hallmark's 100th anniversary (they've had malls that long???) the ubiquitous franchise hired company artists to create one-of-a-kind items in tribute to some of the companies' licensees.
Christine J. Taylor, a Licensing Creative Account Manager at Hallmark, took that idea and went way back, a long time ago, to her childhood for inspiration.
With more than a little help from Lucasfilm Licensing, Taylor came up with something truly unique - five limited edition crowns bearing the likeness of her favorite Star Wars characters.
Taylor used whatever media she could get her hands on - paint, Plaster of Paris, fur, even bits of Star Wars toys - to create likenesses of Yoda, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and Lord Vader himself.
The results are pictured above. And, no, they're not for sale. Sorry.
I wasn't sure what to make of these things at first, but after reading the interview with Taylor on StarWars.com, I've really come to appreciate them. I particularly like the one with the X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and Millennium Falcon orbiting the Death Star.
What do you guys think?

A little odd if you ask me.... Jedi-Robe.com. Cheers, Master Jedi-Robe
Christine made all the Star Wars crowns, and they're not for sale.
I'll correct the oversight - all apologies to Christine and thank you, Bonnie!
