George Clooney news!
Elisabetta Canalis ripped her dress on Oscars night -- and get this...
Rumor is that boyfriend George Clooney hand sewed it back together -- not someone from costuming, the Academy Awards staff, or wardrobe.
Talk about an Academy Award worthy heroic maneuver by the green celebrity!
Yes, that is right folks -- just look at the picture of the back of Eli's dress and you can see it is visibly torn -- but by the time the even started, Clooney had her all stitched back up and ready to put on yet another dog and pony red carpet runway show.
GEORGE CLOONEY CAN SEW
Did you know George Clooney could sew? Neither did we.
Apparently the gallant actor is handy with a seamstress needle as well as noble raising money for charity.
Here's the celebrity gossip scoop.
Apparently, while getting ready for their red carpet appearance in Hollywood, California for the 2010 Academy Awards, the back zipper seam on Eli's skin tight red strapless formal gown split wide open.
What did Clooney do?
We can tell you this -- there was no stitch witchery involved.
He immediately grabbed a needle and thread to stitch the misaligned mistress back together.
George Clooney claims he used to be a tailor -- a masculine profession, we know...
However, the fact that Clooney can act as a seamstress will still undoubtedly fuel gay rumors.
Girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis is from Italy and models swimsuits and lingerie for mens magazines regularly.
