Think for a moment about what some of the worst celebrity couple pairings in Hollywood could possibly be; now, add the names George Clooney and Madonna in the same headline.

George Clooney reportedly went on a date with Madonna after the singer split from Guy Richie, though the date was not a success, as Madonna kept making bad jokes and George "could not wait to get out of there."
Their source, ShowbizSpy, adds more gossip fuel to the media fire about the two green celebrities having dated for at least one evening, by quoting yet another source.

According to British newspaper the Daily Star, the Hollywood hunk — who is currently dating Italian TV presenter Elisabetta Canalis — was set up with the Holiday singer by a mutual pal.
“He figured she is a smart, accomplished woman so why not give it a try?” a source said.
The other thing the celeb singles had in common is they are both into eco politics and conservation of energy. As such, you would think the international stars (as world travelers and both being "A List" celebrities would have had plenty to talk about -- but for anyone who has ever been divorced and had to go on those few first fateful dates with new people, jumping back onto the singles bandwagon is not that easy.
“They went out for dinner in New York, but it turned out really bad.
“She kept trying to make jokes that weren’t at all funny the entire time and didn’t want to have a real conversation.
All we can say about this bad news about a potential Hollywood romance is that (if true) the good news is Clooney opted out of a romance with the pop music singer.
Green celebrity or not. Madonna and Clooney make poor ecofriendly bedfellows (IMHO). Apparently Clooney shared the same sentiment.

It sounds made up. Madonna doesn't like older white guys with grey hairs. She likes them young and Latino now. And right after her divorce, she dated A-Rod and then Jesus, so I'm not sure when she would find the time to meet up with George.
We know George likes Italian girls but not Madonna -although they are the same age. She doesn't stay with one man too long.
This story is so FALSE. Madonna and George Clooney are friends.
