There is an upside to all the rain in Calgary this week. Community gardens are flourishing, as are the lilac bushes in many neighborhoods around the city. To celebrate the rain, check out the Green Thumb cache owned by PrairieSwan located in the area of Montgomery, NW quadrant. The original cache contained seeds for planting as the community garden is kitty-corner from its location.
At the time of find, there were not one but two “Celebrating 100 Years” City of Calgary Parks travel bugs waiting to be discovered. If you’re apt to moving one of these travel bugs along, their goals are to be located in another Calgary park.
Some nearby caches include:
Another B.U.T. View, GC1DBR9 by Red90. A regular cache in a high traffic area.
and En Garde in Calgary, GC1VWZY by OhioRider. A micro with zero ‘did not finds.’
There is also multi-cache Shouldice Terrace, GCZWV6 in area with an alert to the owner that the cache may be missing and not found since February. You might want to keep your eye on this one to be found again in the future.
After picking up your cache of the week stop by Market Mall is nearby to buy a special gift for Father's Day. H&M is having buy one, get one free polo shirts for men until June 13th.
Enjoy the weekend caching…and bring on the sun!
