The end of this week has a lot of great happenings. Be sure to get out of the house and have some fun!
August 25 - It is time for New Comic Wednesday with The Charlotte Geeks. Meet a few of the The Charlotte Geeks at A. Pennysworth Comics and afterward dinner at Roscoe's, for an evening of geekiness and laughs.
August 25 - Musical theatre geeks, this is opening night of Disney's and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. This is an excellent show to take the mini-geeks to.
August 26 - Crafters head over to August Make-Out! Hanging by a Thread. Learn how to make grown up mobiles with found objects, origami, wires, and a lot more.
August 26 - BeauSoleil is playing at the Visulite Theatre. If you have never experienced the vibrancy of this awesome Zydeco band go see them. Your feet will begin to stomp on their own!
August 26 - South Charlotte Area Rummikube Meet-up. Join an assortment of Charlotte meet-up groups who are getting together for a fun night playing a very addictive game. Please click the link and RSVP.
August 27 - The Charlotte Area Paranormal Society and The Charlotte Ghost Trackers are having their monthly meet-up at the Acropolis Café & Grill in Cornelius. Join the gang and find out more about the classes they offer and the cases they have encountered.
August 27 - Fans of "80's music run to the NC Music Factory and get your tickets to see Tears For Fears and sing along with some of their greatest hits..
August 28 - The Charlotte Area Roleplayers will be hosting their annual monthly meet-up at Games HQ. Join other gamers and talk about strategies and characters.
August 28 - Foodies get ready to bust your belts at the Soul Food Festival in Uptown Charlotte. Gates open at 4:00 PM, with entertainment starting at 6:00 PM.
August 28 - Robot Johnson is performing their outlandish sketch comedy at the Carolina Actor's Studio Theatre at 10:00 PM. If you need a good bawdy laugh this is the show to go see. If you are easily offended go see Mary Poppins.
August 29 - The Charlotte Anime/Manga Society if hosting Anime Bowling Mayhem. Go and bowl a game or two dressed in cosplay attire, though capes are really not recommended.
