Jay Johnson has lived with his husband Irwin for 13 years, just celebrating their 6th anniversary as domestic partners in the City of New York and their 5th wedding anniversary. Married in Toronto, Canada, Jay and Irwin decided that it was more straightforward for them to get married in a country that recognized marriage equality, but they look forward to the day when Jay's lesbian daughter Meredith and her partner can legally marry in the United States.
