A former Chicago TV news reporter who now lives in Puerto Vallarta says the streets are virtually deserted, bars most restaurants closed, and people are walking around with face masks. That is despite the fact that there have been no confirmed cases of the swine flu there.
The reporter also says that the city has run out of the Tamiflu anti-flu medication.

I'm happy to let you know Banana Cantina is open at night. I cut my trip short by one day and left on Monday. I've been talking to ex-pat friends in PV who are wondering what all the fuss is really about.
We are arriving in PV tomorrow. Are the cabs in service from the airport to resorts?
