Don’t worry your San Diego Gay Travel Examiner is here to reveal the many ways in which iPhone apps are making life easier and more bearable for the gay traveler!
Top iPhone Apps for Gay Travel.
If you are looking for an Italian deli in Tokyo, or trying to ask where the metro station is in French, the iPhone offers apps that deal with nearly all your traveling needs.
The Naked Truth… Really Naked! – Grindr
Not a PG-13 app by any means, Grindr has proven to be hugely popular, growing to nearly 500,000 users in the USA alone after launching only three months ago on the iTunes.
Grindr is the only way to go as far as meeting other gay iPhone users, as it allows real-time chatting and picture sharing all from the comfort of your iPhone!
Plus it has one huge feature none of the other gay apps have, it shows other users based on how close they are to you and it sorts users for you as you move. If you like someone you can favorite them so they always stay close no matter where you go.
Don’t worry if you are out of cell range for as long as you have WiFi your Grindr app works!
*Highly recommend taking cute photos with the iPhone to share your travels with others. You never know what sexy beau might be watching.
Check out Grindr on the BBC's Top Gear.

Love the idea for this article...but did you fall asleep writing it? The heading is Top Gay Apps, but there seems to be only one listed. I use one called GayCities when I travel...I'm curious to see how you think all the other apps out there rank up.
Daniel,
I am glad you liked the article, heh. Thanks for reading!
As to the heading I am doing a couple of articles this week on iPhone Apps for Gay Travel.
The GayCities Apps looks interesting, I will have to look it up.
There's another travel based iPhone apps called MyGayGo. We'd love your feedback. :)
Eric,
Please feel free to send me any press materials you have.
