Mixx Nightclub
Finally, we have added a new gay club to the nightlife in Atlanta. Mixx, located in the same strip mall as Burkhart's Pub, is sure to be the next hotspot, if not for a while, at least. Mixx’s theme is one of inclusion. I had a chance to visit recently and was impressed at how nice the club is on the inside. It is dimly lit and has attractive wooden accents throughout. There is a large dance floor in the middle of the club as well as an interactive Playmotion wall that changes colors and patterns when touched. The wall will surely be a hit after a few cocktails. The club is non-smoking, but it has a large smoke-friendly patio. The grand opening is coming soon so be sure to check out their website for further information.
Mixx’s hours are: Tuesday – Thursday 4p.m. until 1a.m., and Friday – Saturday 4p.m. – 3a.m. They will be charging a $5.00 cover Friday and Saturday beginning June 19.
