Sue Bartholomew Balcom has been writing and gardening her whole life. In the early days, there were gardening competitions with the neighbors. Today, Sue lives along the Missouri River, works with vegetable producers in the state and has a garden at home as well as being a part of the Mandan Community Garden. Her experience as a newspaper editor includes award-winning photography. Her gardening experience includes creative cooking and canning.
