On February 20th, The Atlanta Botanical Garden is offering a Rose Pruning Workshop to address your rose pruning needs. Roses have some of the more technical pruning requirements.
"Proper rose pruning will greatly increase the vitality and beauty of your roses. In this workshop, participants will learn rose pruning basics and the knowledge to confidently prune different varieties of roses. This workshop will also cover other winter-specific rose care, like cleaning and top-dressing garden beds, transplanting roses, planting new roses, using dormant sprays, and when to fertilize. Part of the class will be held outside in the Rose Garden. Get your roses in perfect shape for an abundant springtime!" (From the Atlanta Botanical Garden class description)
Registration information: Date and time: 20 February 10am to Noon. Cost $25 ($20 for members). Registration deadline 15 February.
