Art and Lemon Bars
Sunday, June 27th, the Manske Library in Farmers Branch presented The Branch Contemporaries Show spotlighting AB Rockin Artists Studio and Tlee Studios. AB Rocking Artists Studio is located in East Dallas’ Little Forest Hills neighborhood. The artists, sisters Elizabeth Bingham and Lynn Reagan are founding members of the Friends of Lottie Sculpture Display at the State Fair of Texas among other prestigious art shows in the Metroplex.

The standing room only crowd quickly became a frenzy of art buyers vying for the perfect piece for their home, office or gift. The artists were also kept busy taking information for commissions.
The reception boasted an elaborate hors d’oeuvre table for patrons enjoying the soiree. One small woman was seen stuffing zip lock bags full of delicious lemon bars made by the artist’s Mother, Alice, into an unusually large purse. Known far and wide for her cooking, but especially her lemon bars, Alice intervened when library security later caught the same woman in the kitchenette stuffing an entire tray of the lemon bars in her purse and pockets. Alice kindly explained she knew the lemon bar addict, was her supplier, but didn’t realize the habit was that out of control. An ugly scene was averted, the woman escorted out and the festivities continued.
