The New PSP Go
We were all waiting for it. Ever since Nintendo kept releasing new models of the DS, true gadget fans were waiting for Sony to step it up. The PSP is cool, but it was getting old really fast. And, lo and behold, Sony has rewarded us in our wait.
This new PSP, the "PSP Go" is looking to displace the old PSPs. But only if it sells well. We all remember the DS. Nintendo didn't plan to stop the GameBoy line, but when the DS sold exceptionally well, it seemed to be the only logical choice. And let's face it - most of us agree.
This little marvel will be released on October 1st everywhere in the United States, but Europe and everywhere else must wait a month. Retail Price? $249. It will co exist with the existing PSP in stores, until the the sales are in, of course. Now, what makes this PSP different? Well, in addition to how it looks and obviously feels, it comes with bluetooth connectivity for all sorts of accessories. But most noticeably, it also won’t come with any UMD drive. Instead, its getting rid of all disc-based content by serving things with on-demand entertainment, it features16GB of internal memory as well as the ability to recieve digital entertainment from the PlayStation Network. This is a downside for people in slow airspeed areas.
