September 15th is going to be a very big day.
Between Microsoft and Nokia, the last week or so has been full of surprises for the tech world. Now you probably have seen the Zune HD, or at the very least, heard about its upcoming release set for a few weeks from now.
You may have also heard that Microsoft is rolling out Windows Mobile 6.5 in October with HTC’s Touch Pro2 launching the same day with the operating system on board.
So you thought Microsoft might be done with the announcements.
Think again.
According to Engadget, Microsoft’s latest version of their Zune newsletter has unveiled plans to introduce a software update for the Zune that is apparently loaded with new features.
The best part?
It will be released on the same day when the Zune HD does away with the old versions of the Zune which will be discontinued. Be sure to circle September 15th on your calendar people, it’s going to be quite the day.
Now, it doesn’t say exactly what will be included in the software update, but let’s hope it has a lot to do with something to do with applications, an App Marketplace perhaps? Or maybe something to do with HD video playing on the Zune?
So if you were anticipating the Zune HD release, this probably will make you giddier than ever.
