In case you're not convinced yet that the netbook trend is here to stay, here's the latest bit of evidence that this is no passing fad: the not-quite-a-laptops now have their own trade show.

The Netbook World Summit is set to happen Dec. 8 in Paris, with sponsors including Lenovo, MSI, Samsung and Qualcomm.

Next big sign of market acceptance: When our spell-checker recognizes "netbook" as a real world.
