For those of you who love to watch streaming shows, another alternative has arrived on the iPhone and yes before you get all flustered, San Francisco, it streams over both 3G and Wi-Fi, so relax, settle down and lay off the morning coffee.

Joining apps like uStream and Qik is the Justin.tv application that will bring live video right to your palm via the iPhone. If you aren’t familiar with Justin.tv, well this app might be a pretty big treat for you especially if you favorite sports teams aka the Warriors aka the 49ers/Raiders aka the A’s/Giants aka the Sharks are blacked out on TV or you want to watch the UEFA cup or some obscure show.

It’s all generally here and now it’s at your finger tips. Here are some of the features that the Justin.tv application affords you, the iPhone user:

• Watch every live video
• High quality video over 3G and Wi-Fi
• Fully featured chat allows you to interact with broadcaster and viewers on iPhone and the web
Simple and easy to navigate UI
• View and manage favorites
• Share any channel with friends
• Search
• Create account inside app

It looks pretty good if you ask me, especially running over Wi-Fi. But that’s pretty obvious. You can play videos in landscape or portrait and the search function works pretty efficiently to find what you’re looking for. Also, and pretty nifty, are the Push Notifications that pop up when you mark your favorite channel and it begins streaming live.

It’s out for the iPhone, the iPod Touch and will be available on the upcoming Apple iPad that drops on April 3rd. So, if you are out somewhere and can’t get to a TV or computer to watch a Giants game this spring, Justin.tv might just be your savior.

Head here to download it, San Francisco.

And yes, it’s free.
