There have been a ton of developments concerning the next iPhone and OS 4.0 lately and the only potential photographic evidence that’s been leaked thus far are some pictures of a patent and a blurry, jumbled looking picture that supposedly is the iPhone 4G.
Well now San Francisco, there are some leaked pictures that seem to make a little sense. What you see here is supposedly the next iPhone sitting next to the already released iPhone 3GS. If we investigate you notice one of two things.
One, the iPhone 4G is taller than its predecessor by, according to Mac Rumors, ¼” which isn’t much but it’s still noticeable. The other thing that is maybe a little less noticeable is a “reflective surface” that is near the earpiece on the top part of the phone.
There of course is no explicit mention as to what the reflective surface might do, leading me to believe that there is more than a good chance this is not the real deal. However, I will hold judgment until that is proven to be the case.
So we have a potential picture but not a lot of substance. Sounds about right for Apple.
There have also been a lot of rumors about the iPhone 4G including an improved camera, the inclusion of a dual core processor and OLED screen and a release date possibly as soon as five months from now but as of right now the only confirmed thing is that these are rumors and nothing else.
If you can’t wait for this, you can always pick up large iPhone-esque iPad when it debuts in March even though its desirability has apparently plummeted. Here are the Apple store locations in San Francisco. And if you plan on being at one in March or April when the iPad debuts, please, be careful.

If it's 'real', how about the reflective surface being a camera, consistent with the video call rumors?
