We will be there reporting live.
It’s that time of the year again when all of your favorite electronics companies head to Los Angeles to showcase their newest and most promising hardware and titles for the upcoming year at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. In previous years, it dwindled down to only a few thousand people in attendance, but the flood gates have opened up again and 40,000 will be descending upon LA.
Needless to say, it is going to be a hectic three days canvassing the Los Angeles Convention Center taking it all in.
Why?
Because myself and my fellow colleague, SF Technology Examiner, Nic Amoroso are headed to Los Angeles to cover the expo for Examiner, bringing you all of the sights and sounds right from the showroom floor.
First, a few of the big name companies that will be in attendance:
Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, Valve, THQ, SEGA, EA, Square Enix, Bioware, NVIDIA, Bethesda, and the list goes on.
So, what this means is that we are going to be very busy trying to squeeze as much as we can into those three days in an attempt to get you information on the stuff that you enjoy.
From information on demos and breaking news to interviews, we are going to be Pencasting from the floor and bringing you not only live coverage of the event in writing, but in audio as well, so you can soak it up from the comfort of your chair.
Now, we want to open up the forum to you guys and see if there is anything that you would specifically like us to cover so that this experience can encompass all of you as well. If you have been following the E3 coverage over the past few weeks, you have probably seen trailers and heard rumors about games or products you are looking forward to.
That being said, we encourage you to get a hold of us and let us know if you have any questions you answered or any information that you desperately want to know about. While we might be the ones in attendance, we definitely want your input, so don’t hesitate to contact either one of us with specifics.
A few of the different things that we’re looking forward to come June 2nd:
DSi and Wii Motion Plus from Nintendo.
DJ Hero from Activision.
Any sort of huge announcement from Square Enix.
The rumors of a Metal Gear Solid port for the Xbox 360.
Anything from Bethesda, including a rumored new game called Brink. (If you played Elder Scrolls: Oblivion/Morrowind or Fallout 3, you know why this is exciting.)
A Konami/Kojima announcement.
Anything from BioWare which will be especially interesting if you played the old Knights of the Old Republic games and loved them. They are supposedly coming out with an MMO, will it debut at E3?
Assassin’s Creed 2 from Ubisoft.
Motion technology that might be debuted by Microsoft.
It could go on forever, but that’s just a taste of what is in store in just a few days. So, again, let’s get some conversation started, email us if you have any particulars and let’s get this ball rolling.
We’re both pleased and excited to be covering this for Examiner and we hope you all are looking forward to E3 as much as we are.
