Coca Cola's Velcro ads are both hilarious and dangerous

Breathe easy fellow San Franciscan’s; these advertisements are not coming to our home. In fact, in order to see them, you’d have to travel across the ocean, end up in France and happen to be at a bus stop that had one.

Ok, so what are they exactly?

Well, they are Coca Cola advertisements made of Velcro. Their purpose is to apparently point out the new grip that Coke’s new bottles possess. And that purpose apparently worked.

Coke has increased its brand volume growth 3.8%.

The amount of stuff stuck to these things is probably outrageous and from the picture, you can also see the hazards that these things can dish out. The elderly would become completely befuddled if their clothing stuck.

Others might become delirious.

So you’ve got to think that tons of people have had to detach themselves from the ads, which makes France the only place in the world where being stuck to an advertisement is a reasonable excuse for being late.

Bring them here please.

Designing and making clothing and costumes is a hobby of mine, and over the years I've learned the hard way that velcro can be downright destructive to some fabrics. Satins, some silks and brocades, and a host of other textiles won't just be momentarily trapped on something like this, they may well be permenantly damaged or destroyed. Normally I'm not a fan of lawsuits, but it would serve the clowns who approved this right if they were made to pay damages to the owners of clothing damaged or destroyed by these idiotic velcro-ads.

Someones sweater is going to catch it, and someone is going to fall and hit their head on the concrete, very bad idea.
