BlackBerry Desktop Manager coming to Mac this week

After all this time, this better be real good.

RIM has finally made the confirmation; all systems are go for the release of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Apple’s Mac line. Yes, it has taken awhile and yes, there have been many disappointments along the way, but the release date is only days away.

When?

October 2nd, can you wait that long?

Well, that is, if you didn’t download the leaked beta version or you haven’t been driven terminally insane by the amount of rumors surrounding its launch date. Or maybe you have already gone stark raving mad because this is the first time BlackBerry’s will be able to sync properly with Mac’s?

Either way, your sanity may return on Friday.

And yes, the software will be free.

So don’t fret denizens of the BlackBerry on Apple products Empire, you will be released from tyranny soon enough, but let’s just hope the taste of freedom isn’t bittersweet.

Translation being, hopefully RIM did an excellent job after all this time.
