As you may know by now, Apple unveiled the iPad here in San Francisco today, and lot of us have been wondering for a long time now how it would look and what not.
A Stalin fist for all of those fake pictures released over the last year or so.
Well, sorry to say, there is going to be no 3G on some models, so that means a lot of us won’t be headed to AT&T and definitely not Verizon.
However, some models will have 3G options, here summed up courtesy of Engadget:
Now what does it cost for the data plans? Well in the US carriers charge about $60 a month. We have a real breakthrough. Two awesome plans for iPad owners. The first one gives you 250MB of data a month for $14.99.
We have an unlimited plan for just $29.99 a month.
So how do you turn this on and manage it? You can activate this right on the iPad. And there's no contract -- it's prepaid.
Wow. No contracts. I just feinted.
The iPad is going to be released with a 9.7 inch IPS display and it’s a fully capacitive screen much like the iPhone. So that’s great news. It also has the other bells and whistles like 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. 30-pin connector, speaker, microphone, accelerometer and compass.
The best part?
Supposedly it packs 10 hours of battery life. That, my friends, is awesome.
The processor is the 1GHz "Apple A4" which, so far, looks to be pretty amazing.
I’ll update this as the day goes on.
