Today at Apple's Music Event in Cupertino, California, Steve Jobs took the stage to unveil a brand new lineup of music playing devices. First on his list was the iPod Shuffle.
After talking about the previous generations of the iPod Shuffle, Jobs showed us the new model. He said that while people still loved the 3rd generation Shuffle with its voiceover and playlist integration, they missed the buttons that were on the 2nd generation.
He appeased all these users by bringing the buttons back.
The new iPod Shuffle is smaller than the 2nd generation, still contains a clip for easy transport, and contains the buttons of that model. On top of that, it adds in the voiceover and playlist functions of the 3rd generation model, making it a perfect marriage of the two generations that fans of the iPod Shuffle will no doubt absolutely love.
The new iPod Shuffle boasts 15 hours of music play and comes in 5 colors. It is available for pre-order today. 2GB of music will set you back a mere $49.

Worst Apple design ever, locking you into those awful headphones is just crazy iphone background. I was thinking about getting a Shuffle over the next few weeks, but as I have some Westone UM1 headphones I can't get the new Shuffle now. Epic fail Apple!
