Sony's updated Vaio P LIfestyle PC

I had a major problem with the viewing angles of Sony's first Vaio P. The updated Vaio P has improved the verticle viewing angles, but not by much. Once you start flipping the screen inwards or outwards, the colors wash out--however, it takes longer for this to happen. The side viewing angles are decent.
The Intel GMA 500 integrated graphics won't blow anyone away, but viewing videos on this mini laptop is a pretty decent experience. Unlike the iPad, you can view your widescreen videos without seeing black bars on the screen. The colors are sharp and viewing DVD quality videos doesn't cause any stutter. However, don't expect to use the Vaio P to view high definition videos.
The 2500 mAh 2-cell battery won't get you netbook quality battery life, but you can expect your Vaio P, with full brightness and average use, to last 3.5 hours. The first generation Vaio P would last 3.5 hours, but with minimal brightness and minimal use. In general, the battery life has significantly improved.
The updated Sony Vaio P Lifestyle PC will definitely get you looks--the same types of looks as showing up to a coffee shop with a baby Golden Retriever. However, Sony still has work to do to make this device worth the $899. Perhaps, by the third generation model, Sony will finally hit their mark.
