Many iPod Touch fans all over the world have been hyped over the past couple of months with talk about Apple's new iPod Touch containing a camera that takes both still shots and videos. There have even been cases for this new device seen all over the Internet.
At Apple's conference yesterday, new iPod Touches were announced that had cheaper prices, faster processors, but no cameras. All over the world, geeks wept. However, Apple didn't seem to have any problems putting a camera on their new Nanos. In fact, the camera on the Nano takes VGA resolution video clips. How cool is that?
Unfortunately, iPod Touch fans are very unlikely to buy a Nano. Steve Jobs claims that the iPod Touch is a gaming device and putting a camera on would make it impossible to keep the prices down. We call BS! After all, there are strong rumors that Apple had major production problems with the proposed iPod Touch with camera. It's a sad day for us all!
