What was once a pipe dream is now a reality, as Samsung has released a video showing their flexible, OLED passport. Featuring a static viewer of the passport owner along with a video screen that shows a rotating view of the person, this would appear to be a major step forward for security. Powered by the RF source (the creme-colored block directly behind the card holder - thanks, Brent), the futuristic passport would eliminate the need for those bulky booklets. I could imagine driver's licenses using this technology.
While little other details are available - you can get a look at it in action below.

The power source is coming from the panel (what is referred to as the RF power source) in the back not the bracket. You can tell this because the video starts on the card before they put the card in the bracket and you can also tell this by the way the screen gets brighter as the card gets closer to the panel in the back and darker as the card moves away from it. Notice that the bracket is moving the card toward the panel and then away from the panel. The panel that I'm referring to is the cream colored block with the two black lines a few inches in from the edge that look like a boarder. The lines on the power source are flat wires that the electrical current is running trough.
To add to my other comment the card is powered using induction so the card does not have to make physical contact to the power source.
Thanks, Brent .. you're correct.
