You can't sign up on line, so be sure to ask about membership on your first visit (which will count as one of the 5 visits within 3 calendar months required to earn you a $5 "reward" coupon). Silver Diner in Glen Allen (at the Broad Street entrance to Innsbrook) offers a sparkling clean family atmosphere. With a fifties diner decor it's both kid-friendly and a great family place for dinner, lunch or breakfast! Each booth offers an authentic reproduction "juke box" with a wide selection of songs (25 cents each). The music is not so loud that conversation is difficult and that means you won't need to shout at each other to carry on a conversation.
The staff is quite friendly and very accomodating and the food is excellent, too! Though appearances can be deceiving, the Silver Diner offers a quality menu of breakfast, appetizers, entrees, salads and desserts that rival many high-priced restaurants in the area. The best deals on the menu can be found on the Blue Plate special section with dinners ranging in price from $7.99 - $9.99. The Blue Plate section includes salads, burgers, sandwiches, seafood, spaghetti, chicken and vegetarian stir fry.
Other prices on the menu are comparably priced, but you won't find any single item higher than .the steak and seafood favorites priced at $13.99. The menu includes daily specials as well as low-carb and low-fat options clearly marked. The desserts (except for the world's smallest sundae) are big enough for two to share.
The kids menu offers choices that include items ranging from blueberry pancakes (available any time of day) to combo meals with prices ranging from $2.99 to $4.99. Adults can even order beer and wine or join the kids in slurping down an old-fashioned milk shake
