Indignant at the planned $100-million mega-mosque near the site of "Ground Zero," where some 3,000 Americans were murdered in the attack on 9/11, a Christian minister has proposed creating a competing Christian center near the site as well. To some, this idea seems to be a good one, as it would "water down" the sting of this aggressive act on the part of the Muslims trying to impose themselves in this sore wound.
Islamic 'flag of conquest'
Indeed, many people—including Muslim writer Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury—are of the opinion that the mosque itself is a "flag of conquest" designed to demonstrate Islamic supremacy, as has been done numerous times over the centuries in countless places where Islam has invaded and conquered the native cultures. Based on Islamic history, it appears de rigeur to build a mosque or other Islamic symbol over the holy places of the conquered infidel—and this fact does not escape the notice of educated individuals viewing the proposed Islamic "Cordoba House" in downtown Manhattan. The very name "Cordoba" is a nod to the Muslim conquest of Cordoba, Spain, which represented a nice, big European feather in the Islamist cap. To critics, only the very naive or wilfully blind could fail to see what this "obscene gesture" in New York truly symbolizes.
Moreover, the front man for the Ground Zero mosque project, Feisal Abdul Rauf, has repeatedly stated that he supports the imposition of sharia law in the United States—which contravenes the American Constitution in many instances—and he has been linked to the Muslim Brotherhood. This latter organization has evidently included a plank in its global agenda whereby it would "sabotage the miserable house" of the United States from within, so that the imposition of Islam would be complete:
"The Ikhwan [Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim's destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands..."
Not a few critics have therefore seen this mosque effort as yet another move in that direction, towards the establishment of a global Islamic state dominating all other religions and cultures. Critics also note that Rauf and his wife Daisy have failed to sign onto the "Freedom Pledge," which states that Muslim apostates should not be subjected to the death penalty.
In addition, critics likewise say, whether or not you believe the 9/11 party line or the conspiracy theories, the fact will remain that Muslim fanatics are using the crime to further their goals of global domination. These would-be world conquerors, it is noted, are both claiming that "the CIA and Mossad did 9/11," evidently when appealing to the Left, and bragging that their "Magnificent 19 martyrs" have done the "great work of Allah," while threatening Europe with more such terrorist acts. In this view, this latter stance of claiming 9/11 as an Islamist act would be the reason this group wants to plant their "flag of conquest" at Ground Zero: Indeed, it is reasoned, the very actions of this Muslim-Brotherhood-connected group in wanting to build this mosque is a sign that they embrace 9/11 as an Islamic act of war.
'Cronyism, dhimmitude, and corruption?'
One of the organizers of a recent protest at the site, Stop Islamization of America's Pamela Geller, calls the Ground Zero mosque plan a "vile exhibition of cronyism, dhimmitude, and corruption" and NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg a "snake." New York Congressman Peter King has called for an investigation into the funding of the mosque, while Bloomberg has labeled such an investigation "un-American." Others have seen this declaration itself as "un-American" and have questioned whether or not Bloomberg's behavior is ethical and patriotic. They hope that part of the investigation by Rep. King will determine whether or not Bloomberg is attempting to thwart suspicious eyes off himself and where all that money is not only coming from but also going to...
Based on current developments, if the landmark status hearings fail, it seems the mosque will be "shoved down the throats" of New Yorkers—and those of the 9/11 victims' families—against their wills for the most part, if polls are any indication. Thus, in this writer's opinion, it would be a very good idea to set up multiple other "centers of peace" to memorialize the site. Let us present a glorious and uniquely American spiritual smorgasboard of places of worship or gathering for Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Pagans, Wiccans, Taoists, Shintoists, Atheists, Agnostics, Humanists, Secularists, Mythicists and the whole works—all ringing the site, close to the mosque, so that its clientele will have a true religious and philosophical marketplace from which to choose!
Such a development would surely be the most American gesture we could possibly make, as it truly would represent the free-flowing melting pot of religious, spiritual and irreligious ideas, as was undoubtedly the intent of the Founding Fathers, when they made an "Establishment Clause" in the First Amendment of the Constitution against any one state religion in this country. It should also be recognized that any attempt at creating such a state religion is therefore un-Constitutional and anti-American—in a word, treasonous.
So, let us display the finest American spirit in allowing the free practice of religion—and non-religion—by making lower Manhattan into a site of universal spirituality and innovative philosophy, whereas it was once the capitalist center of the world. Of course, in consideration of the fact that religion rakes in many billions of dollars per yer, there would not necessarily be much of a difference, even to the point where the product will still be completely intangible and without any money-back guarantee.

This mosque is a slap in the face to the victims of 9/11 - ALL victims which have been mostly unarmed civilians, especially women and children since the muslims liked to enslave them. They don't care for their own when they are collateral damage, and have been seen using their dead bodies to either their own advantage (as in this imam telling us there were muslims killed on 9/11) or as propaganda after their violent jihadists cause theri deaths. If the muslims would start reeducating their own violent ones, you know the ones they tell us are misunderstanding islam, or at least care for their victims as they care if their violent ones are killed or wounded (hamas) there wouldn't be this problem. But they don't. They do NOTHING to stop the violence in islam.

I believe most of the original religious archetypes are based upon ancient man's interpretation of "life-like" high energy plasma phenomena the likes of which is extremely rare since those turbulent times (Swedish spiral aurora is one recent example) and it's just evolved and got twisted and co-opted from there.

Ms. Murdoch's most trenchant point is that Muslims will cling to the accounting and explanations for the moment that best suit their goal of global hegemony, even if it means occasional outright contradictions. Yes, and that means a fair review of the facts and circumstances related to 9/11 vs. it was all Mossad/Israel vs. official story glory of Islamic Jihad.
Read her other columns as to WHY Islamic ideology encourages this duplicity. Many if not most American Muslims want to blend into the American pluralist melting pot and simply enjoy American freedoms not available through Sharia Law.
