Russ is a researcher & technical writer with a slew of vendor certificates on his wall. He also has a degree in English Lit., from UCLA, and an enduring interest in freedom, software, and technology. He started this examiner as a means of reciprocating some of what the free software community has given him over the last decade. He aims to contribute information, that expands the understanding and use of free software, as well as insightful commentary on how best to leverage its use in business, education, and life.
