Fruity scent from Apple Bottoms perfume by Nelly is no surprise

If you’ve smelled Nelly’s Apple Bottoms by Nelly perfume, it should be no surprise to you that the fragrance smells like apples. Even with your eyes closed, if someone asked you to guess what fragrance the perfume was, immediately it would remind you of an apple orchard.

I’m not a big fan of fruity scents or even fruity-smelling candles, especially if they’re loud, but surprisingly Apple Bottoms by Nelly perfume isn’t too strong. This September 2009 release is a girly, pretty scent but the other ingredients tone it down a bit.

Apple Bottoms by Nelly perfume includes citrus aromas, pink peony, rose, coconut, sandalwood, amber, musk and an apple scent. This combination, especially the musk, coconut and sandalwood stop the perfume from being so loud. Have you ever smelled a fruity candle that was great on the shelf, but when you got it home it gave you a headache? Apple Bottoms by Nelly is nothing like that.

The bottle is a cute, little and clear, but the gawdy gold apple with the three red rhinestones reminds me of the jeans. There are some Apple Bottom jeans that are a little tamer than others, but this bottle is the typical bright gold. And if you’re a regular Apple Bottom shopper, you’ll recognize the gold chains wrapped around the white box that the perfume, lotion and shower gel that are sometimes on the jeans. But you’re not wearing the bottle. You’re wearing the scent.

The scent reminds me of the jeans—it can be geared for grown women, but it has more of a youthful appeal. Apple Bottoms by Nelly reminds me of the fruity lotion that you get in bath fragrance shops, so if you’re into feminine, sweet scents, this is the one for you.

    Regina,
How long does it last? I know you said it doesn't long, but how long is not long?
