Let us start off by using a quote, one of our group made the following statement;
(nfpcar.org)
"Sometimes it just takes one small voice to make a world of
difference...I challenge you to be one of those voices"
Question; Do you think this is true? Can one small voice make a world of difference? Are you a small voice or are you a “don’t rock the boat” person?
Here is a little experiment; Answer these questions, oh we know what you’re thinking, you don’t have to worry no-one is going to see your answers, except you. However, the questions may cause you to think; be truthful, are you ready?
- 1. If you see an injustice, do you stand by and do nothing, or do you speak up against injustice?
- 2. If you witnessed verbal abuse of a co-worker on the job, what would you do? The real question is do you care more about the humanity of the person being hurt or the job.
- 3. Have you been hurt by an out of control Foster Care System, CPS? What have you done about it?
- 4. Do you rant and rave at people about the injustices done to you, or constructively seek to change the system, for not only yourself but also others?
Did you answer that you would do something about injustice, verbal abuse, changing this horid system that is hurting so many people, then you mght be an Advocate. Does this surprise you? Now we need to get you focused on the right type of advocacy.
- What does the word advocate mean? It means; someone who pleads another’s cause, someone who fights for or on behalf of others,or a belief. What were you’re answers? Did you answer you would do “nothing”, so then you’ve been hurt by the system, possibly complain about it, if you answered this way then you’re not a doer, or an advocate in the making, you are a complainer? However, you could become an advocate?
If we the people have the power to change things, that is we are many “small voices” united to become a very loud, very powerful voice that can be heard in Washington DC by way of our voting voices. Why are children still being removed from non-abusive homes, some of these children are not in eminent danger as often declared by CPS.
Go to part two, read on.

I have the passion and conviction to be an advocate but my adhd makes me so unorganized I fear I would not be a good enough one.
