Edges of Bounty: Adventures in the Edible Valley captivated me from the moment I first cracked the pages. Writer William Emery and documentary photographer Scott Squire showcase the people who don't see farming and living off the land as a trend to follow, but rather as a way of life. Authentically capturing the people of the land, this book is a tribute to those who sustain small farming in America.
Squire and Emery have joined forces with Seattle's Volunteer Park Cafe for an exquisite evening, celebrating the people who grow our food. On January 29th, Chef Ericka Burke will prepare a 5-course locavore dinner paired with local wines. Squire and Emery will be on hand to give a brief talk and slideshow presentation and each guest will receive a signed copy of Edges of Bounty.
Dinner begins at 7 pm. Cost is $75 per person (excluding tax and gratuity) and includes all food, wine, and a copy of the book. Reservations are required and space is limited.

What an amazing event. I wish I were in Seattle again! Hopefully something like this will happen again when I do finally make it up there!
