Yours truly inhaling the Nutty Mocha.
To know coffee is to adore coffee. To adore coffee is to not only have it daily as habit, but it is to crave it in the middle of the night like some odd pregnancy jones or to reach for it in moments of high-anxiety to help calm the nerves. I adore the art and craft of coffee so scripting a Fall Preview of Orlando Local Coffee Houses seems an appropriate channel for my latte lust. Lattes, espresso shots, cappuccinos, macchiatos, moccahinos, iced, skinny, half-caf, and many more are the coffee brushstrokes in the landscape of coffee cuisine and I am here to traverse it.

A sunny nook to enjoy your sips.
After taking in the stupendous film Julie & Julia, my companion Mrs. Kathy Triolo and I wanted a spot of coffee. Seeing that Seven Sister’s Coffee House on Mills Ave. recently opened and looking for any excuse to try some place new, I suggest we go and girl gab there about the movie.
Seven Sisters’ has all the charms of a quaint coffee house and then some. Most striking are all the windows and separate rooms truly harking the atmosphere of a cozy Florida home. Each party privy to a cup of joe can find their own nook to dissolve into as the caffeine works its way through the bloodstream while still enjoying prime sunshine real estate. If there were a coffee heaven, it would look like Seven Sister’s.

Spread of locally baked good offerings.
The coffee at Seven Sister’s comes with a story. Reading their website reveals, “Seven Sisters Coffee provides coffee from sustainable, organic, fairly traded, and relationship coffee farms. Seven Sisters’ house coffee comes from Selva Negra Coffee Estate in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. Selva Negra is a fully sustainable estate, from coffee production to the estate workers facilities.” Photos of the Nicaraguan farm can be found framed all over the coffee house or online at http://www.sevensisterscoffee.com/home.html. But can you taste the environmental and humanitarian difference in the coffee? Absolutely.
During my Seven Sister’s visit I ordered a large Nutty Mocha and a PB & J Bar and my companion had a large Queen Bee-a honey vanilla latte. The flavors were rich and complementary to the coffee flavor. My Nutty Mocha went down as smooth as hot chocolate and was so filling I couldn’t not consume but a bite or two of my PB & J bar. Like a true queen, Mrs. Kathy Triolo devoured her Queen Bee latte and was also kind enough to pose for pictures.

Seven Sister’s Coffee House is an experience not to be missed if one is in or around the ViMi area of Orlando. There is plenty of street parking and a back parking lot, so come for the coffee, soak in the sunshine, stay for events like art shows and live music, and order a baked good because they are scrumptiously made fresh from local bakers-not thawed from a freezer. Just another charming, sustaining quality only to be found at an inviting, independent coffee house like Seven Sisters.
