Trader Joe’s offers a simple to follow plan for roasting your Thanksgiving Turkey.
Great points to remember:
Before the turkey goes into the oven, let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
(If stuffing, which isn’t part of Trader Joe’s plan, let it sit out for 30 minutes, THEN stuff, then put it in the oven immediately.)
Make a flavored butter and push it gently under the skin to keep the breast moist.

Trader Joe’s Turkey Roasting Chart*
12-14 lbs – Unstuffed 3 to 3 ¾ hours; Stuffed 3 1/2 to 4 hours
14-18 lbs - Unstuffed 3 3/4 to 4 1/4 hours; Stuffed 4 to 4 ¼ hours
18-20 lbs - Unstuffed 4 1/4 to 4 1/2 hours; Stuffed 4 1/4 to 4 3/4 hours
20-24 lbs - Unstuffed 4 1/2 to 5 hours; Stuffed 4 3/4 to 5 1/4 hours
(325° F oven temperature)
*Per USDA recommended guidelines.
The Turkey is done when the temperature of the thigh meat is 165º.
Trader Joe’s advises to tent the turkey with foil after 2 hours.
