On Saturday September 26th, 2009, Anthem Entertainment, a Boston-based marketing and event agency, is hosting the first annual New England Dessert Showcase. The Children's Trust Fund (CTF) is the official charity partner of the event, which will be held in downtown Boston at the Marriott Long Wharf Hotel. There will be over 100 local exhibitors sampling their various designer desserts, pastries, catering, wine, chocolates, cakes, ice cream and more.
The event is open to the public and will occur from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Advance tickets can be purchased online for $20 for general admission or for $25 at the door. VIP tickets will be $35 and will include a cocktail reception from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., along with a gift bag (valued over $200). If you purchase your tickets for either general or VIP tickets, there is a special “2 for 1” online ticket offer available until August 31st. Ala carte ticket packages are also available, including Aquarium/IMAX admission, a hotel stay at the Marriott Long Wharf Hotel, lunch at the Hard Rock, dinner at Cheers, or Duck Tours.
The Cholive, Hard Rock, Uno's and dozens of local companies will be at the event providing delicious treats. The New England Dessert Showcase will be not only a great place for families, couples, and friends to enjoy themselves and indulge, but also will be a great networking event and opportunity for communicating with businesses in the area. There will be exhibits, performances, and samples of the participant’s finest dessert creations.
The event will be delicious for visitors, while also being a productive forum for forming business relationships. There is also said to be a retired Red Sox player there to sign autographs and take photos as well as a raffle, where you may win tickets to the Massachusetts Children's Trust Fund gala event. It will be a sweet, tasty event, for a great cause!
