Sue Fink - has thoughts while driving
Just look at that picture of Sue Fink. Doesn't she remind you of your favorite grammar school teacher, the one who brought home-made cookies to school?
Ok, I didn't have a teacher like that, either. But if I did, surely she would have looked just like Sue.
But I digress. Sue's brand new CD, "Thoughts at an Intersection" is her first since 2006's "Damsel in Distress." We're still waiting for Weird Al Yankovitch to record "Damsel in dis Dress." Think of the possible visuals.
Produced by Sue, Bruce Roper, and Jeff Frankel, all of the songs on Sue's new CD are her own compositions, or, more correctly, thoughts she had at intersections. There is a song about an "Advice Giver" who "Slipp(ed) Away" because "Boys Are So Sensitive." True to Sue's quirkiness, the CD has an A side and a B side. It's a CD, they're both on the same side. Did I say quirkie?
Sue is ably accompanied by musicians Noah Zacharin, Michael B. Favreau, Bob Long, Jeff Frankel, Bruce Roper, Jim Hines, Larry Kohut, Bob Lizik, Jessica Fogle, John Abbey. Kathryn Lake,Tony Dale, Meg Lauterbach, and Jessica Fogle.
In the realm of political/social commentary, "Formerly Chicago" tells of the day when all, not just some, of the local venues will be sponsored. The day when you have to go throught the "Billy Gates" to get to "Microsoft Millenium Park."
The CD release party will be October 25, 7 PM, at The Orphanage, 643 W. 31st Street, Chicago. Also available through CD baby.

Comments
Sue's CD is outstanding, in particular her moving song, "Tracking System", an exceptional composition. Sue is
funny and delightfully quirky, but she is also more than
capable of writing serious material. Her CD,"Thoughts
at an Intersection" is most highly recommended. Having
been to her live show, I can say this--you will have a
great time, be thoroughly entertained, and walk away with
a lighter step and a smile on your face!
