Step into her Majesty's Bristol Renaissance Faire

Beneath the clear blue skies and among the shady trees, along the scenic lake and across the grassy expanse, amidst the colorful flags and fanciful buildings the days of yore come alive with festival-merriment of England's Renaissance.  At the bidding of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth I, you are hereby invited to attend her Renaissance Faire, Bristol, Wisconsin.

Hop on the highway and head into the past where revelry and chivalry walk hand-in-hand, and olde English is spoken with aplomb.  Fun and festive for the whole family, come one, come all for this summer tradition.

Enjoy a turkey leg as you walk beneath the towering trees, washing the faire with shade, or crunch a giant dill pickle under the summer sun.  Wash it back with water, soda or beer, enjoy a heaping desert, or indulge in anything that works against the diet.  Food here is fine, fun and bountiful.  The prices are pretty average, even good by summer fun standards, with portions more than worth it.  Share a lot or keep it selfish, but whatever you do, enjoy as much as you can.

This is the Renaissance and you are surrounded by mirth and merrymaking.  Lords and Ladies welcome all to her Majesty's court, pirates and wenches ornament with flare, jesters and women in chin-link mingle, inviting you to join in the revelry.  This faire in Bristol is known for those who simply join in, wearing costumes and blending for the day, the old fashioned way.

Don't have a bustle or sheath?  No problem.  Rent one for the day.  Become Johnny Depp or Errol Flynn, live out the fantasy of a damel in distress or take on the aura of a knight in shining armor.  This is the Renaissance and you are welcome to fully become a part of it all.

Throughout the day shows of all sorts and sizes, animals, musicians, and acrobats, actors and players bring to life the days of the royal court and Elizabeth's England.  Don't pass up the rides, offering a taste of jolly olde England here in the Wisconsin countryside.

Looking for a few bits and bobs to take home to help you remember the day?  Throughout the faire you'll find any number of shops and vendors offering their wares.  From authentic costume to jewelry, furry new friends to playful, fanciful little fairy-tale creatures, you'll find any number of ways to tap into your wallet and bring the faire home.

Stepping into the past can be a bit expensive, so help save yourself a few quid by tapping into the early specials.  Take a look at the Bristol Faire website and sign up for their newsletter, bringing into modern day the best savings for visiting yesteryear.

This summer, treat yourself and your family to a day in history, step into a fairy-land of merry-men, and bring to life simpler times and joy-filled summer fun.  Enjoy the Renaissance as they did under her Majesty the Queen, and make some modern memories to last a lifetime.
