John W. Gillespie, Ph.D. is a master floral designer who is now involved in teaching floral design through the Delaware Floral Design Organization. Dr. Gillespie is highly credentialed holding a B.S. in Biology, with an emphasis in Botany, and minors in both Education and Chemistry and the graduate degrees of M.A. and Ph.D. in Education. Dr. Gillespie also holds a Certificate of Merit in Floral Design from Longwood Gardens and diplomas in Floral Design from both Penn Foster Career School and Ashworth College. He is also about to complete a diploma in floristry from Stratford Career Institute. He also has practical experience as a floral designer and floral manager where he dramatically took on a failing floral department and turned it around in less than two weeks.
