Ladies, .....and even gentlemen... choose your most comfortable pair of stilettos for Canada's very own stiletto sprint! I'd recommend choosing a pair that wasn't too expensive, because this is a sprint where a lot of heels get broken.
Basically, nobody expects people to really run long distances in heels, so this isn't your average "run for the *insert your favorite charity*". The stiletto sprint is a 100m run for a good cause, and features a $10,000 grand prize. Every participant has to wear 3-inch stilettos and donate $25 to Look Good Feel Better, Canada’s only national charity that addresses the appearance related effects of all cancers affecting women.
All women participating in the run will be divided into multiple 50m qualifying runs. The top girls will then compete in the 100m Stiletto Sprint. The winner will be awarded the $10,000 prize! Second and third place will receive $2,500 and $1,000 respectively.
The guys who want to try walking in women's shoes for 100m can participate as well in their very own race. The top male runner will receive a $1,000 prize.
