Trekkers with dreams of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro can now get a head start with Thomson Safaris.

The award-winning adventure travel company is offering free four-week specialized fitness training for travelers who book a Kilimanjaro trek in June 2009.

Yes, fitness fans, once more the vigilance of San Jose Fitness knows no bounds in finding opportunities that match the Silicon Valley livestyle. After all, here in the Valley, we climb unforeseen heights, cling to many a precipice, and face the unknown daily.

When you think of it, fitness training for just such a trip is a pretty nifty "added value" service.  Not exactly what you think of as typical recession fare, but still, a good idea.

The personal training program has been designed specifically for Kilimanjaro climbs by Fit for Trips, the adventure travel fitness specialists.

Each holistic fitness program combines resistance and endurance training that will prepare travelers mentally and physically for the trek. Thomson Safaris staff have completed and approved the training program before making a successful trek up Africa’s tallest mountain.
