Bay area fitness leader Club One is currently testing  a new program that looks like a winner:  Lite N' Up.

Lite N' Up is a lifestyle program that deals with the reality that different people need different support systems to lose weight and get fit.

Some people need nutrition help, others want workout plans, shopping lists, meals to go,  or a customized workout plan.   Most everyone needs support, a knowledgeable coach and trainer, and encouragement.

Hence Lite N' Up is an a la carte approach that lets people choose  the elements that will work for them, and only pay for those elements.

What makes so much sense about this program is that it's a win-win.  Club One is less likely to lose people who get discouraged because coming into the club doesn't turn them into a goddess.  Participants get what they need to get fit and maintain a healthy weight.  Choices include:
    • Peer support meetings
    • Food diaries and nutritional guidance (including healthy grocery shopping trips)
    • Mindful eating workshops
    • Healthy meals to-go
    • Circuit training (small group or one-on-one)
    • Lose to Win Challenge (think “Biggest Loser”)
    • Weight loss technology tools (i.e. Habit Changer, a 42-day challenge and Body Sense, a tool to help manage calories consumed and burned)

Launched in August, 09, Lite N' Up is currently available at two of Club One's 14 Bay Area locations: Citigroup Center (San Francisco) and San Jose's Santana Row.  It is open to members and non-members, and begins with a complimentary 30 minute meeting/assessment at either of the two participating locations.
