Nadya Suleman says she would never consider plastic surgery to lose postpartum baby weight. The octomom talked to Matt Lauer on NBC's People of the Year. Lauer asked her about her significant weight loss after giving birth to eight children. Suleman reportedly weighed 270 pounds during the pregnancy, but now sports a trim physique. The question of cosmetic surgery has been suggested by many speculators. But Suleman insists that she has had no work done.
Matt Lauer: No surgery?
Nadya Suleman: Nothing. No. I will not do that. I go to the gym at least two to three times a week. I do sit-ups.
While sit-ups are a reasonable choice for strengthening the abdominal muscles, most experts would agree that they are unlikely to account for such a significant weight loss. Suleman did not elaborate on the specifics of her weekly gym visits.
A realistic postpartum weight loss program should include regular aerobic activity, including both high and low intensity workouts. New moms should also incorporate total body strength training and flexibility exercises to reduce stress. While sit-ups are one option for abdominal conditioning, the plank exercise or any of it's many variations, has been proven to be more effective and safer on the back.

I`m not buying it. Losing weight is one thing. Skin is another. She can say it and they can report it, but NOBODY believes it. Just makes her look even dumber than she is. If that`s possible.
What an insult to mothers and to nature itself, this woman is!
Everyone who is the medical field or has given birth knows that what she claims is a total falsehood.
A woman giving birth that weighed over >130kg would have an enormous pannus, where did that go to? That amount of skin isn't able to contract to a "size 2" likes she portrays it.

Zero chance all that skin just snapped right back like a rubber band. I am an aerobics instructor, and after 3 (singleton) pregnancies, I still have a belly "pooch" despite being back to a size 4. She's a liar, plain and simple.
Weight loss requires 4 components: nutrition, exercise, stress management and healthy sleep. Sit ups alone will absolutely not cause significant weight loss.
