Historically, the avocado is a fruit native to Central and South America and is used widely in Latin cooking. Perhaps they are most widely known for making guacamole, but they can be used in a variety of dishes such as soups, sandwiches, and pastas. Here are some ways to enjoy the avocado:
- Use avocado instead of mayonnaise to spread on sandwiches
- Spoon out the inside of the avocado, sprinkle with some lemon juice, salt and pepper and eat with crackers
