Actress Brittany Murphy died at age 32 of cardiac arrest. Brittany was found unconscious in the shower by her mother. Since we don't as yet know what happened, as a Fitness Examiner it made sense to look into what fitness information could be found.
Given the sexy costumes in the movie, Sin City, in which Brittany Murphy starred, one might think that she worked out - especially since she is no longer in her 20s. However, when asked if there was a special work-out routine or diet regimen that the Sin City stars followed to get into shape to show off their bodies, Murphy answered, "that she didn’t do anything special to physically prepare for the role." source It seems she was in great physicial shape when she was cast so felt no need to workout for the movie. Brittany Murphy landed on the 2006 FHM's 100 Sexiest Women List and Maxim's Hot 100 list.
It seems Murphy had quite a few plastic surgeries and lost quite a bit of weight since childhood. This is neighter here nor there just a look at this lovely young lady. Heart attacks in women can be caused by high cholesterol, diabetes, and high blood pressure. All these diseases can be found in a 32-year old but this examiner's gut says no.
There are some reports that Murphy was recently fired from the upcoming movie, The Caller. There are reports that she wasn't fired. Perhaps the stress of the press was too much for Ms. Murphy. Stress is a killer! She has also battled allegations of drug use over the years. An autopsy will be conducted on Monday, according to RadarOnline.com.
Finally there is a theory being proposed here that it was a combination of stress, lack of exercise, and perhaps a serious eating disorder which has gone untreated which all combined to kill Ms. Murphy. This has not been corroborated- just examining the news. My thoughts go out to the family.

Every life is special. Brittany's was special. My thoughts go out out to her friends and family. She was a secret crush of mine for years. I almost can't believe the news I heard.

No disrespect to Mrs. Murphy's family, but to the author, this lady is not gone a minute and you can't wait to put out your two cents, fact or not. Can you journal folks ever show respect without trying to add sour milk to a story to make it juicy? Are you all that heartless, & sylvia, I'll prey 4u. My heart go out to the family, she was taken too soon.
IF anyone of us died tomorrow who would know besides family and friends? That is right nobody! Just because she was famous people think they can butt in to other peoples lives...Give the family time to deal with this sudden loss. She will be missed for sure but just wish people would back off and let the family deal with this without people assuming and pointing fingers one way or another. There are people called doctors out there and they will let the family know the facts adn that is all that matters. Your family are in my prays and so sorry this happen to such a beautiful young talented lady.

I've known Brittany Murphy since I worked with her on Clueless and continued to be acquainted with her over the past several years. She is a lovely young woman, full of grace, kindness and was a ray of sunshine on every movie set or charity event that I've ever encountered with her. I'm deeply saddened and shocked by her death. I'm also angry at the insensitive comments left by some anonymous people accusing her of drug use. Brittany had health issues in the past with diabetes from my understanding, so I would please ask restraint before accusations. I would ask that people be respectful of the family, especially her fantastic mother, Sharon. My prayers go out to Brittany and her loved ones during this horrible tragedy. God bless you Brittany, you are already tremendously loved and missed.

brittany's death could have been prevented if her agents and mother and husband had put her in rehab instead of giving her vicodin and xanax and ambien and aderal. she was a drug addict who only drank red bull and smoked instead of ate. what kind of mother lets her child get hooked on drugs and doesnt do anything about it? oh, right, a mother who is being supported by her drug-addicted child. dina lohan - you are next. watch out.
First of all.. May God give Brittneys Mother and Father and hubbie the strength they need to carry on with their lives. God rest her soul and take her to heaven. Brittney was such a beautiful woman, inside and out.. What a great loss..I have a younger daughter that looks just like Brittney..I used to tell her all of the time that that is exactly who she will look like whenever she grows up.. it really devastated me to hear that this happened. And Sylvia.. I have to address you.. Don't you have any thing better to say in an instance such as this one?? If not.. You really need to tie your tongue up until it is tame!
